    I know it's probably not, but it was for me: Have you made sure you have enough space on your target?

    Thanks, that happened to me before but not this time :) There's sufficient space.

    Mostly it is a handfull accounts that for some reason can't be transferred (FTP).

    Hello :) Do you notice any specific error messages in /usr/local/cpanel/logs/cpbackup_transporter.log for the accounts that failed to transfer? Also, do you have root access to the destination server? If so, do you notice any error messages in the FTP error log on that system? FTP activity is typically logged to /var/log/messages, depending on the type of server. Thank you.

    I see these errors:

    That suggests the connection to the remote FTP server failed. Do you have root access to the remote FTP server to see if there are any corresponding log entries for the incoming connection from the cPanel server? Thank you.

    Are using the storagebox from hetzner? Or your own server running ftp? BTW: Is cpanel backup now offering SSL/TLS on ftp destinations. Even if the ftp connection is only using the hetzner datacenter lan it is still wise to encrypt connections.

    Not to hijack the thread, but I get similar errors on a server, but only for two specific backup files (two domains), which are the largest files in the backup queue, 18G and 37G. I'm wondering if there's a file size limitation somewhere. It's noteworthy, I think, that the system does successfully transport about a dozen other backup files and, per configuration, deletes those that it moves to my privately hosted ftp server. These two files, however, remain. For background:
    /etc/redhat-release:CentOS release 6.8 (Final) /usr/local/cpanel/version:11.56.0.24 /var/cpanel/envtype:virtuozzo CPANEL=release Server version: Apache/2.4.18 (Unix) Server built: Jun 14 2016 12:01:33 Cpanel::Easy::Apache v3.32.14 rev9999 PHP 5.5.36 (cli) (built: Jun 14 2016 12:06:10) Copyright (c) 1997-2015 The PHP Group Zend Engine v2.5.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2015 Zend Technologies with Zend Guard Loader v3.3, Copyright (c) 1998-2014, by Zend Technologies with Suhosin v0.9.38, Copyright (c) 2007-2015, by SektionEins GmbH mysql Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.5.50, for Linux (x86_64) using readline 5.1
    relevant entries from /usr/local/cpanel/logs/cpbackup_transporter.log follow. I do note the 'time out reached' error, but as it successfully transports a dozen or so other backup files and leaves two, including this one, I wonder if size is the issue

    You can try increasing the "Maximum destination timeout" value in "WHM >> Backup Configuration" in addition to the "Timeout" field for the destination in the same interface. Let us know if that makes a difference for the large accounts. If not, you may need to transfer those accounts manually using the instructions in the following document: How to Manually Transfer an Account Between Servers - cPanel Knowledge Base - cPanel Documentation Thank you.
