Although it's recommended that DNS propogation can take 48 hours, i find about 4 is usually enough. Are you sure that the issue isn't DNS or browser caching on your own PC ? Also, I'm not sure what would happen to WHM DNS settings after changing the IP, would you have to change these manually, maybe worth a quick peek in one of the sites DNS settings. I'd then start by trying something like MXtoolbox.com. This site has a great set of tools for diagnosing DNS as well as other issues.

DNS isn't the problem in this situation, you can clearly see it is pulling up the site, its just not pointing to the correct location. If you have 2 IP's on the same server, and all you did was "Home "Account Functions "Change Site"s IP Address" and you are seeing an empty site now, it almost seems as though the second IP is on a different server. I would double check and make sure you are pointed to the correct IP. Can you see the hits from refreshing the page in the access logs?

Also, by moving the sites onto a different IP it wouldn't do anything if you are referring to a mail server black list as the emails will still be sent from the main IP of the server. You would need to go into Home "Service Configuration "Exim Configuration Manager and set: "Send mail from account"s dedicated IP address" to On To have what you did work. Otherwise, you could of just left the sites on the main IP, and in: Home "Service Configuration "Exim Configuration Manager set: Reference /etc/mailhelo for outgoing SMTP HELO to ON and Reference /etc/mailips for outgoing SMTP connections to ON and configure both /etc/mailhelo /etc/mailips to reference the secondary IP this way the outgoing emails will start sending from the secondary IP without having to change any DNS.

I can't make out why the site still doesn't show up 36 hours after the chance (TTL times have long since expired)

Hello :) Could you verify which method you used to update the IP address of the accounts? Thank you.

Hi, I used the "change sites ip address" tool from within WHM. I'm reviewing the other answers in this thread also, thanks for the help so far.

    Thanks for your response....

This is what I did, and is the impression I got also.

How can I check this? I checked with the host that the ip I've moved to is allocated to the server, and I've moved the site back to the old ip (site started working again) and then back to the new ip (site stopped working again)
Can you see the hits from refreshing the page in the access logs?

Doesn't appear that I can, no.

Hi, this is already set to ON. So my original theory should work?

Hi, Thanks to the below, I (think) I have managed to sort out my problem, but I'll have to see how it goes over the next couple of days...

This was already set to "on", so I figured I'd try reversing the setup... I set the main shared IP of the server to be the old IP address that the sites were originally on This allowed me to use the WHM Change Accounts IP address tool to move the accounts back to their original IP (sites started working again) I then changed the main server IP to be another IP address on the server, which doesn't have any problems sending mail from that account (since the "Send mail from account"s dedicated IP address" was set to "On") I then turned OFF the "Send mail from account"s dedicated IP address" (so the server sends from the main server IP address) I've done a couple of test emails from the problem account and don't seem to have any mailer daemon bounce back messages, and the sites are working, so will wait and see how we get on!

Configuring which IP address is used for sending email should not make a difference regarding whether a domain name loads in your browser. It's possible local DNS cache was the culprit, and clearing that cache may have helped: How To Clear Your DNS Cache - cPanel Knowledge Base - cPanel Documentation Thank you.
