Exim send emails using server hostname instead of user@theirdomainname.com
Hi Guys,
I have a whm 54.0 (build 21) just setup with all the latest greatest up to date.
When my client sends mail, their mail adres is currently: username@server-hostname . How can I change this mail to mail-name@their-domain-name.tld ??
While searching I came across this thread:
Exim send emails using server hostname instead of clients domain name??
Which describes the same problem, but the solution was not included.
Thanks in advance

They are most likely sending using PHP, I would make the suggestion to them to switch to using SMTP Authentication, you will have less chance of being marked as spam as well using SMTP auth. 0 -
Sorry, I have to clarify. Mail is not send thru PHP, Mail client / IMAP / WebMail only. 0 -

Thanks Jcat, Now I know what you mean, webmail is PHP :) Was a little bit tired after debugging a whole day. Can you point me in the right direction as to where you can force SMTP Auth for webmail? Have looked everywhere Horde / cPanel / WHM but could not find it. Thanks again!0 -
Hello :) Email should not send from username@hostname when sending via Webmail. Are you sure the users are signed in with the actual email account username, and not the username of the cPanel account? Thank you. 0
