New domain - not sending emails - spam score 1
hello everybody,
i own a vps and already hosting another website on it since 5-6 years, wich has 4 email adresses set up with a gmail account (which works flawless - all emails received and sent are delivered)
i have a problem after i just set up a brand new domain (bought it yesterday) i've set up the gmail account, i can receive emails, but i cannot send emails at all, they are by default marked with spam score 1, and i get Connection timed out
i've set it up exactly like my other website (i have DKIM and SPF enabled) but it doesnt work as expected.
attached is a printscreen from the track delivery screen from the new domain im tryin to set up.
if anyone has an idea of what i could do, i would very much appreciate it.

im sorry im not an experienced server administrator, i had whm preinstalled on the vps from the start, so didnt get the chance to get much into console0 -
Hello Do you experience issues to send mails to any other domain or just for Gmail? The log indicates SMTP connection time out issue to the destination server which a common characteristics of firewall blocking . Please check and ensure that your firewall is configured to accept both ingress and egress connections for ports 25,465,587. SA score of 1 is quite normal and there is nothing to worry about it. 0 -

hello ssfred, thank you very much for your reply, yes, i experience also for Yahoo mails. regarding the firewall, i dont have any firewall installed (but i do have clamav) after 24h, i receive an email stating this:This message was created automatically by mail delivery software. Hello The mail delayed messages are just notifications about the presence of an undelivered mail in the queue. The system will retry for mail delivery at specified intervals before marking it as frozen. There is nothing to be concerned about it. Since the default firewall is not configured for these ports and you experience the mail delivery issue for multiple domains, I strongly believe that its a firewall related issue. Please execute the below commands from your server and check if you are able to connect telnet smtp.gmail.com 25 telnet smtp.gmail.com 587 telnet smtp.gmail.com 465 If you fail to get connected to the ports, check the same after turning off the firewall. Running a server without any firewall is a great security risk. In my view CSF is quite efficient and is easy to manage. There are other softwares which serves the purpose. Please install and configure any of them for a secure hosting environment. 0 -

this is weird, because the other day i ran this command for port 25 and it gave me "this port canot be used for spam" (or something like this) messageroot@uvps [~]# telnet smtp.gmail.com 587 Trying 173.194.65.108... the results are the same before and after clamav disabled also, spamassassin is all set on default values regarding the firewall, yes, i am aware of that, i will install CSF today thank you again for the reply, hope i will manage to fix this0 -
apparently my port 25 is blocked by my ISP, had no idea because 2 email accounts used on my primary website work (sending and receiving emails) and im also using them with google gmail, but this new email doesnt send emails from webmail or from google, although i've set it up the same as the other 2 emails.. i changed to port 587 in WHM > Service Configuration > Service Manager - exim on another port, ticked both boxes but same "connection timed out" error is there any workaround on this? 0 -

Hello :) Port 587 is already enabled by default. Please try using an alternate port (e.g. 26) and let us know if that makes a difference. Also, to clarify, do you mean the ISP for your workstation, or are you referring to your hosting provider/data center? Thank you.0 -
