Emails Disappearing From Inbox
I had a feeling that emails were not staying in my inbox, so I sent two emails to my main email address. I left one unread while I read the other one. I went and made dinner and when I came back, the inbox was empty. No one here, page never reloaded, emails just went away.
I have a feeling I have lost some very important emails because of this and I need to get this issue resolved as fast as possible. I know there is something wrong with my mail setup since I can't even get it setup with mail.domain.com. I have never done this complete initial setup before and sure could use some help. But lets start with why my emails are not staying in my inbox...
Thank you all in advance. I have read through other threads and none have helped. I do not have outlook or live mail setup so there is no way these are deleting the messages. Everything should be setup for IMAP, but as stated above, I'm sure I could have screwed something up.

Hello :) This typically happens when a POP3 email account is configured in an email client. This results in the message downloading to the email client and it's removal from the server. Try searching for the email address in /var/log/maillog to see if this happened. EX: grep email@domain /var/log/maillog
