R1Soft authentication process with cPanel
Hello cPanel forum :)
I'd like to understand something, so far I've had no luck getting an explanation from my R1Soft provider or R1Soft themselves.
When you connect a cPanel instance to a R1Soft policy, cPanel users can login directly to the R1Soft portal for restore purposes (im not referring to the plugin) as described here: Access account backups via Direct Link - Server Backup - Server Backup Manager: Docs, KB Articles, Technical Papers
My question is..how does this authentication process work? Does the R1Soft server communicate back with the cPanel server in real time to check if the login credentials are correct? Or does the R1Soft server obtain a database of the cPanel logins and check it locally?
