Upgrade to v56 fails with cpanel-perl conflict
I can't resist. From the moment I saw the announcement to 522, I saw this coming, though I was hoping it wouldn't happen.
I just tried to update a server:
So what's the recommended path to get this running now?

Hello :) Have you made any specific changes related to Perl on this system? Also, please post the output from the following command: cat /var/cpanel/rpm.versions.d/local.versions
Thank you.0 -
No, this has been a fresh installation a few weeks ago with no system changes. # cat /var/cpanel/rpm.versions.d/local.versions --- file_format: version: 2 install_targets: {} rpm_locations: {} srpm_sub_packages: {} srpm_versions: {} target_settings: analog: uninstalled awstats: uninstalled clamav: installed easy-tomcat7: uninstalled munin: installed webalizer: uninstalled url_templates: {}0 -
Could you open a support ticket using the link in my signature so we can take a closer look? You can post the ticket number here so we can update this thread with the outcome. Thank you. 0 -
Ok, I opened a support request with the ID 7528903. 0 -
To update, the issue was the result of duplicate RPMs installed on the system. The following command addressed the issue: /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/autorepair fix_duplicate_cpanel_rpms
You mentioned this in your earlier post:No, this has been a fresh installation a few weeks ago with no system changes.
Did you install cPanel from an image, or using the instructions from our documentation on a fresh installation of CentOS? Thank you.0
