Redirection stopped working
Hi,
I had some trouble with my /var directory and I had to restore many directories. :( Happily the cPanel backup gave me back very important files.
But there is one thing I cannot solve. All the redirections stopped working like domain.tld/webmail /cpanel etc. Only for the very main domain it's still working.
I compared the httpd.conf file with earlier backups but no problem with that one.
- I did a /scripts/rebuildhttpdconf
- /scripts/upcp
- /scripts/updateuserdomains
- service httpd graceful
- completely restored the backupped /var dirs from the backup (without overwrite)
- checked DNS
- Tried to add some rewrite rules in the httpd.conf but that didn't work and doesn't seem like the way it should either.
So probably there is some /var/* file/directory that needs to be replaced. If anyone can help me out would be very great.
Thanks in advance!

Hello :), Have you checked your WHM tweak setting ? Please check and enable " Proxy subdomains " through WHM >> Service Configuration >> Tweak Settings 0 -
Also check the files /Var/Cpanel/users if I think that those files are missing. 0 -
Hello :) Did you restore the "/var/cpanel/userdata" directory from the backup archive? If so, have you tried rebuilding Apache via EasyApache? Thank you. 0 -
Hi, Proxy subdomains = enabled /Var/Cpanel/users is there. Compared it with a backup, but it's exactly the same. I did not rebuild Apache via EasyApache, I will do that tonight and will let you know the outcome. So far it's still not working. Thanks for the help so far. 0 -
/Var/Cpanel/users is there. Compared it with a backup, but it's exactly the same.
Could you verify if /var/cpanel/userdata was copied over? This is separate from the "/var/cpanel/users" directory. Thank you.0 -
Hi, yes that one is also restored.. I didn't recompile yet, I need to do it overnight so trying to do it tonight. Thanks 0 -
I recompiled with easyapache, but no results :( Does anyone have an idea? Or should I create a ticket? 0 -
Could you open a support ticket using the link in my signature so we can take a closer look? You can post the ticket number here so we can update this thread with the outcome. Thank you. 0 -
I did that already and it was CloudLinux related. cagefsctl -r did the trick. Thanks for the reply and help 0 -
I'm happy to see the issue was addressed. Thank you for updating us with the outcome. 0
