Hi, This script has been gone since cPanel v11.42, around late 2013. These packages are controlled by RPMs now. '/scripts/mailperm' can fix permissions on any directories and files that may have incorrect permissions. I hope this helps!

thx Jacob ran that and got errors like the following:- Skipping multiply-linked filesystem node /home/admin/etc/internet.com/quota! at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/Email/Perms/User.pm line 289. Can't locate object method "error_name" via package "Failed to init Cpanel::ExceptionMessage::Raw: Can't locate Cpanel/ExceptionMessage/Raw.pm: /root/perl5/lib/perl5/x86_64-linux-64int/Cpanel/ExceptionMessage/Raw.pm: Permission denied at (eval 23) line 1. " (perhaps you forgot to load "Failed to init Cpanel::ExceptionMessage::Raw: Can't locate Cpanel/ExceptionMessage/Raw.pm: /root/perl5/lib/perl5/x86_64-linux-64int/Cpanel/ExceptionMessage/Raw.pm: Permission denied at (eval 23) line 1. "?) at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/Email/Perms/User.pm line 257.

HI, I'd recommend throwing in a support ticket on this. There seems to be some permissions issues deeper in this file system than it appears.

Hello, we're also seeing this issue with 5 individual accounts, snippet below, the errors appeared after running "Repair Mailbox Permissions".
    Skipping multiply-linked filesystem node /home/user/etc/userdomain.com/quota! at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/Email/Perms/User.pm line 289. Skipping multiply-linked filesystem node /home/user/etc/userdomain.com/shadow! at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/Email/Perms/User.pm line 289. Skipping multiply-linked filesystem node /home/user/etc/userdomain.com/passwd! at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/Email/Perms/User.pm line 289.
It's also worth noting that none of the accounts actually have any mailboxes, they're websites only. Was there an outcome for the quoted ticket? Thanks.

@bloatedstoat I did face the same issue today and found mailboxes are not present on the server for that cPanel users. I simply removed passwd, quota and shadow file from this path :- /home/user/etc/domain/ path and ran permission fixer. Let me know how it goes for you. :)

Hello, To update, it looks like the error messages when attempting to correct the mail permissions on this system were the result of custom Perl5 libraries configured in the /root/.bashrc file. Thank you.
