Update Preferences Set to LTS
I noticed since my server automatically upgraded to version 56, the "Update Preferences" had changed to "LTS" instead of "Release". I previously had it set to "Release".
Therefore WHM > Upgrade to Latest Version did nothing until I changed that.
This may be an issue for others?

Hello, Please post the output from the following command: grep '' /etc/redhat-release /usr/local/cpanel/version /etc/cpupdate.conf
Did this change in your update preferences occur after updating to cPanel version 56.0.13, or after the first update to any version 56 build? Thank you.0 -
/etc/redhat-release:CentOS release 5.11 (Final) /usr/local/cpanel/version:11.56.0.13 /etc/cpupdate.conf:CPANEL=release /etc/cpupdate.conf:RPMUP=daily /etc/cpupdate.conf:SARULESUP=daily /etc/cpupdate.conf:STAGING_DIR=/usr/local/cpanel /etc/cpupdate.conf:UPDATES=daily I was still "stuck" on 56.0.1 before I changed to Release so I guess when it first upgraded. 0 -
New /etc/redhat-release:CentOS release 5.11 (Final)
The automatic transition to the LTS build tier during the update to cPanel version 56 is by design. Version 56 is the last version of cPanel to support CentOS 5. You can find a recent blog post with additional information on this topic at: March 31st, 2017: The Day the Sun Sets on CentOS 5 | cPanel Blog Thank you.0
