paper lantern customisation

Hello, Is there any way to customise the paper latern theme, in terms of removing some of the side bar icons? I would actually like the remove the whole left hand side bar, and have just the items under 'home' displaying in the main area. ie. I would like to remove the side bar altogether, or if it has to stay, remove the side bar items: 'statistics', 'dashboard' and 'user manager'. Is this possible? Kind regards, Anthony
