Is bot crawling disallowed by default on cPanel & WHM interface?
Edit: Title should read "Is bot crawling disallowed by default on cPanel/WHM interface?"
Hello,
I'm just wondering whether bot crawling is disallowed on the cPanel and WHM interfaces by default? Is there a robots.txt file anywhere in the cPanel or WHM root directories, I can't seem to find it?
The reason I ask is a client of ours has been having some issues with SSL validation on their site on a Plesk server, it ended up being because Google were crawling the :8443 Plesk interface and finding that the shared certificate on the server didn't match the clients domain name.
I'm just wondering whether cPanel disallow this crawling by default on 2083 and 2087 for instance?

Hello, cPanel does not automatically block IP addresses or bots that attempt to access the cPanel/WHM interfaces. However, you could install a third-party firewall management utility such as CSF if you wanted to block access to bots: CSF blocking all bots (google, msn, yahoo etc.)" - ConfigServer Community Forum Thank you. 0
