DMARC, Microsoft and temperror
Hello,
I've setup a dmarc record for an account on one of our servers and I'm having problems with the record exclusively with MS Outlook based domains, Hotmail etc;
I've tested the record using various online tools such as www.port25.com and the syntax is fine. The record passes without issues when sending an email to check-authATverifier.port25.com and check-auth2ATverifier.port25.com.

I receive regular XML reports from hotmail that consistently fail with temperror - the points of failure however switch randomly. Sometimes it's SPF and sometimes it's DKIM. Here's an example of one XML report I received with DKIM failing with temperror.
And here's my DMARC
I wrote to Microsoft about it and they replied that they can see a problem with my mail being sent to the junk folder at hotmail but they cannot help me resolve the problem. Umm, yeah, thanks for that. So here I am, bewildered, because only Microsoft domains are presenting this issue. Can anyone help me find a solution to this, am I missing something obvious? Banging my head against a brick wall. Thank you.

Hello, It's important to keep in mind that no native feature exists in cPanel or WHM to generate DMARC records. Discussion of the feature, and workarounds, are discussed on the comment section at: DMARC config in email authentication section Thank you. 0
