Ownership and access control of zones in the dns server
Hello Moderator,

Hi guys,
Please, help me with my problem below!
I have configuration bellow with two cluster servers and two webserver, however I want to avoid copies of all DNS zones in all webservers, but it did not work. Continues copying all DNS zones in all webservers.
In other words, when I create an account in webserver1 EX: "test.com" the DNS zone of "test.com" automatically are also copied to the other webserver2 and virse versa. Leaving a mess of DNS in webservers.
I need each webserver just stay with their own zones of dns and not with the DNS zones of all webservers as it is happening.
Cluster servers:
DNSONLY 1 (hostname = ns1.mysite.com)
I have added: webserver1 (setup as: Standalone)
I have added: webserver2 (setup as: Standalone)
DNSONLY 2 (hostname = ns2.mysite.com)
I have added: webserver1 (setup as: Standalone)
I have added: webserver2 (setup as: Standalone)
Webservers:
CPANEL (webserver1)
I have added: ns1.mysite.com (setup as: synchronize changes)
I have added: ns2.mysite.com (setup as: synchronize changes)
CPANEL (webserver2)
I have added: ns1.mysite.com (setup as: synchronize changes)
I have added: ns2.mysite.com (setup as: synchronize changes)
Also already tested by placing the two webservers setup as "Write Only" instead of "synchronize changes" and also did not work, continued by copying all DNS zones in all webservers.
What is wrong?
Thanks
Jean

Hello, The current DNS cluster functionality is not designed to be shared between different customers, but is intended for systems where only a single admin (or trusted group of admins) is managing the entire cluster. There is an active feature request for what you are seeking at: Ownership and access control of zones in the dns server. Thank you. 0 -
Confusing thread title updated to reflect that Feature Request title. 0
