Extending disk running Hyper-V 2012 R2
I have cPanel WHM (latest running Cent OS 6.8) running on a Hyper-V 2012 R2 cluster. The disk is using vhdx but I cannot figure out how to extend the disk in cPanel.
I have already added the extra space via Hyper-V and rebooted but how so I tell cPanel to expand the /dev/sda5 so it is using 175GB instead of only 85GB like it is partitioned to now?

Since you are not using lvm partition, disk upgrade should reflect in VM after reboot. Can you post the output of following command? fdisk -l0 -

Here you go: 37591 BTW it is CentOS 6.7 not 6.8. Sorry. It appears when I boot it to gparted I see sda5 under sda4 as well as the extra 75GB (unallocated)0 -
Hello, Keep in mind the cPanel software only displays the hard drive information from the OS, and does not actually take part in configuring the partition or available hard drive space. You may find the following third-party URL helpful: Hyper -V 2012-R2 Expanding VHDX for VM did not expand the current file size Thank you. 0
