Hello :), Do you have cPanel backup of your account? If you have backup then you can recover your SSL files from your backup file and after that you can reinstall SSL with that SSL files.

Sadly no, we had backup turned off because we thought the hosting company was doing it. First thing after it happened I asked the hosting company to do a restore and they were like oh we don't back up your kind of server. Once we get back up and running that is the first thing I will do but a bit of closing the barn door after the horse is out.

If you have your certificate and key, why not use: WHM --> Install an SSL Certificate on a Domain, to re-install the certificate ?

Hello :), Yes, If you do not have old SSL files then you will have to recreate CSR for SSL and then re-issues your SSL from your SSL provider panel.

Hello, You can regenerate the CSR/Key via "WHM Home >> Security >> SSL/TLS Manager >> Generate, view, or delete SSL certificate signing requests.": WHM Home >> SSL/TLS >> Install an SSL Certificate on a Domain":

Thanks I tried all the above. Turns out it is not really an SSL issue it was a configuration issue, then the hosting company upgraded our CPanel version to "fix" it and changed the domains around which made the SSL not work any more. So it's being worked on, not fixed yet but my original question is moot.

I'm happy to see your hosting provider is working with you to address the problem. Thank you for updating us with the outcome.
