Email Send and receive on subdomain

Hi, I am currently pointing subdomain.domain.com with a IP address from GoDaddy to VPS. but I need to send and receive emails properly from subdomain.domain.com, using one of inbuild service. I need to setup DKIM and SPF, but I get this error in my cPanel for the subdomain.domain.com "In order to ensure that SPF or DKIM takes effect, you must confirm that this server is an authoritative nameserver for subdomain.domain.com" Is there a method to complete this using a subdomain.domain.com instead of a domain.com? Thanks.

  Hello, You will need to add the SPF and DKIM entries through your DNS provider after enabling the records via the "Authentication" option in cPanel. GoDaddy offers a document on this at: Add an SPF record | Domains - GoDaddy Help Both DKIM and SPF records are added as TXT entries in their interface. Thank you.
