Set static sender address for email forwarder
Hi, I am using Mandrill for the SMTP of all Mail on my server (yes, I know it's just intended for transactional but it works perfectly for my situation). The problem I have come across is that since Mandrill changed their policy and require all sending addresses to be verified my email forwarders have stopped.
So by default for example when you send;
Email from joe@domain.com to jim@server.com
Forwarder forwards mail to james@server.com
James@server.com receives email from joe@domain.com
What I am looking to do as a work around is either set a static sender address for all forwarded mail;
Sent from joe@domain.com to jim@server.com
When forwarded to james@server.com the email says it is from no-reply@server.com (ideally with a reply-to header of joe@domain.com)
Or I could have it with the from address of the original recipient;
Sent from joe@domain.com to jim@server.com
Forwarded to james@server.com with it coming from jim@server.com
(Again, ideally with a reply to header of joe@domain.com)
Does that make sense? I have activated SRS on Exim and I feel like there might be a way I can do it through there in advanced editor but any advice or pointers would be super appreciated.
I know how I could setup an Outlook rule to get what I want but I really need it to be done from the server as messages arrive.

Hello, Does the issue continue after enabling SRS? Have you reported the issue to Mandrill to see if they can provide you with a recommended workaround to this issue? Thank you.0
