ISP started using IPv6
Hi Guys,
I have a client who's ISP have started to use IPv6 for their internet connection. Since this has happened my client is unable to login to FTP to update the website. I have ConfigServer firewall install on the server, I have add the IP address in the allow list, which I can see is in place. Brute force is enabled but the address has not been block on this either. So is there anything that I have missed, or what settings I need to check to make sure IPv6 are allowed to connect to the server.

I don't think your user should be using IPv6 only. Do you know who this ISP is? I'd be interested to read what they're telling their users about IPv6. What error messages is the user that cannot connect, seeing? 0 -

The client is using Sky broadband, and I have seen that Sky have started to roll out IPv6 to their customer in Q1-Q2 of 2016, as they did a trial last year for it. The customer is having trouble accessing FTP via Filezilia and are getting the error connection time out, the client have tried both port 21 and 53 but still not able to access it.0 -

Hello, Could you let us know of any specific error messages in /var/log/messages when the user makes the FTP connection attempt? Thank you.0
