Dedicated IP's on different subnet
We've recently gotten a new IP subnet from our datacenter which we would like to utilise on our cPanel server. The problem is that the server IP is on a different subnet than the new IP block.
I have been able to add the IP's to the server but experiencing networking issues as the subnet mask is not resolving for the new IP block. This in particular is causing issues with servers within the same datacenter but also on a seperate IP subnet (cannot ping those servers, get an unknow host response).
One suggesting I received was to change the main server IP address to one of the IP's in the new IP block but this would involve potential downtime which we would like to minimize.
Any ideas?

Hello, In addition to the previous response, it's likely a good idea to consult with your data center to determine exactly why this is happening. It's possible this is a network issue their support team can address. Thank you.0 -
you are likely just missing your default route or the subnet has not been properly routed #ip route and see if your Gateway shows up and try to ping your gateway for the new subnet instead reinventing the wheel as Michael stated ask your provider to look into it 0
