Web Authentication Problem

Suddenly, everytime I view a thread on my forum - it asks me to enter my username and password even though i'm already logged in. This pops up with that HTTP Authentication box image.prntscr.com/image/781f5d47b407496b86036f7a8fd2623c.jpeg I can't seem to find what is causing this. Can anyone help?

  In your cPanel > File section > Directory Privacy, check to see if your forums is password protected. If not, you might be linking to an image or something else on your forums that you uploaded via File Manager, incorrectly.

  I'd love to know if anybody has anything further to suggest here ? I have a similar issue, I'm being prompted for a username and password when opening the contents of a folder, I have checked directory privacy and also .htaccess. The uploaded files did not cause any issues until this problem started and it's isolated to a single folder ?
