Exim Mail Server disable but still send mail

Hello, I disable Exim Mail Server SMTP Server but I'm still getting abuse mail notification send by myhosting saying this server is being used to send spam mail to people. Does disabling this doesn't really disable send mail? how else can I disable send mail completely? Thanks.

  Make sure you don't have some sort of rogue script handling things. It sounds like you need to do a bot/malware scan

  Hello, If you have root access for your server then you can scan your server with clamscan. The clamscan result will show all infected files.

  My server is more like a content delivery server, it's not being use for anything else so I don't need the send mail function. Aside from tracking down the malware, which require time on my part I don't have. Is there a way to just disable send mail altogether so other people don't get my spam? Thanks in advance.

  You started this thread 6 days ago. You could have tracked down the malware in minutes. And yet...

  this server is being used to send spam mail to people.

  
  For 6 days or more? :mad: Your Hosting Provider should have suspended your account by now.

  Do a full scan of your software, you have something going on that you shouldn't. If this is your server, have a server admin check it out, because you need to resolve this.

  Hello, You could add "mail" to the disable_functions option in your PHP configuration if it's a PHP script that's used to send the SPAM. Also, ensure you follow the guidelines at: How to Prevent Email Abuse - cPanel Knowledge Base - cPanel Documentation Thank you.
