Cpanel/Whm 56.0 - Mysql 5.5 upgrade error
Hi,
I've tried a few times to upgrade mysql to MariaDB and even Mysql5.6 but the upgrade keeps failing and repeating this error.
mysql restarted successfully.
We expected to upgrade to 5.6; however, the system is currently on version 5.5. at /usr/local/cpanel/Whostmgr/Mysql/Upgrade.pm line 815.
Do i have to manually do something via command line to upgrade?

Never mind the cpanel tech support did the upgrade for me. Seems the host provider vps came with a custom version of mysql on initial setup. 0 -
Did you get any errors while upgrading what does mysql -v say you are running 0 -
You're not going to want to manually upgrade. That will cause cPanel to throw a big old fit. Your 'error message' really isn't an error message at all. The output of mysql -v will help, as mentioned above. 0 -

Hello, I'm happy to see the issue is now resolved. Thank you for updating us with the outcome.0
