Access to public html

I have created 4 different accounts via WHM, i can access the cPanel's fine for each account. However i cannot view the sites by entering a tilde (~) and the username as the URI. I have not altered the DNS settings as i want to view the sites and make sure all is OK before transferring. am i missing something here? this is the message i get after clicking the 'IP Address' link under the 'List Accounts' section in WHM: This site can"t be reached The connection was reset. Try: [LIST]

  You might want to check this area in WHM: Home "Security Center "Apache mod_userdir Tweak
  Apache"s mod_userdir allows users to view their sites by entering a tilde (~) and their username as the URI on a specific host. For example http://test.cpanel.net/~fred/ will bring up the user fred"s domain. The disadvantage of this feature is that any bandwidth usage used by this site will be put on the domain it is accessed under (in this case test.cpanel.net). mod_userdir protection prevents this from happening. You may however want to disable it on specific virtual hosts (generally shared ssl hosts).

  thanks for the reply, yes i have checked the Apache mod_userdir Tweak, the tickbox is not checked. i have also tried checking the tickbox and excluding protection for each user. still not letting me view the sites. anymore ideas?
