Preserving Email from being removed

As outrageous as this may sound, I am working with a client who files everything through his email inbox and is downloading email to his MS Outlook on a Windows Vista PC. It appears older messages are being purged and then rewriting the .pst file, this he is losing vital information. Any advice would be appreciated that does not include my client being having a better organizational system. Can he keep all messages in his inbox without them being purged? His file quota is set to unlimited. CDW
