Additional info: Tried adding a DNS zone manually. Success with renewmynum !! So, it seems that the only issue is with renewmynum having sooo many XDNS entries - Is this causing the redirect from renewalias to renewmynum ?? I thought that by adding an alias, followed by removing it, the issue might be fixed. Cpanel out whitted me on this: There was an error when the system attempted to create the alias. Park::park(renewxxx.com) failed: (XID pvddcf) The domain "renewxxx.com" already exists in the Apache configuration.

Hello, Do you mind opening a support ticket using the link in my signature so we can take a closer look? You can post the ticket number here so we can update this thread with the outcome. There's also a thread here that offers some tips on receiving a faster resolution time when opening a the support ticket: How to get the most from cPanel Support Thank you.

Thank you Michael. Just so you know, I was not referring to cPanel support above in this thread. Instead, since changing to VPS, support at ASO has slowed to glacial speeds. I am under the impression that your request to open a support ticket was to help cPanel staff to better understand this issue. I am not in need of assistance. A support ticket was opened. Support Request ID is: 7590493

Hello, Here's a paraphrased summary from the support ticket resolution: To update, the domain existed in the /var/cpanel/userdata file, which was preventing it from being removed from the /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf file. Additionally, the domain existed in the /etc/named.conf file. After manually removing the domain from the respective configurations, rebuilding the userdata cache, and rebuilding Apache, the domain name is now set.
    Thank you.
