Hello, The option you are referring to is documented at: Edit Reseller Nameservers and Privileges This allows you to grant root access to WHM to a reseller. However, granting root access to SSH requires additional steps. The following thread explains how to setup root access for SSH for an additional user: SSH Hardening Guide Thank you.

I might not have been clear in my earlier post ... I can login into WHM without any issues. My sshd_config file has been set to PermitRootLogin no. I have a reseller account that has all of the options as root does except when I go to change the sshd_config to PermitRootLogin yes via the reseller account ... it states that the resller account does not have permission to edit file. Every permission is granted or checked for the reseller permissions ... everything should be the same as the root. I suppose my question why is the WHM not giving the reseller account the permission to edit the file as it should?

A Reseller without full root access, wouldn't have access to that file. Full Reseller access in WHM isn't the same as root user on linux.

Thank you for that information. I cannot login with root access with SSH or FTP. Is there a way to access and edit the sshd_config that has the setting PermitRootLogin no?

Sure. The setting you want to change (not a good idea) requires you to login as user with SSH access, and then su -, to root. You'd then have access to the entire file system.
