Hello :), Yes, Your server is in rescue mode. I will suggest you please mount your server disk and try to switch your server kernel to old one and try to reboot server in normal mode.

Hi, Thanks for your reply. I'm not too sure how to do this as my administration skills are decent, but not superb. The server seems to be up as usual however. All the services, sites and WHM work fine and i thought they wouldn't work if i were in rescue?

Hi Michael, Thanks for your response. My issue is slightly different to the one on the linked post as i do see the boot kernel, however is set to rescue. Is this also fixed on 58? Is this message something i should worry about, or will it go away on its own once i upgrade to 58? Will it cause me any issues in the meantime?

Hello, The grub2 environment is used to correctly determine the default boot kernel on CentOS 7 systems in cPanel 58. However, it's possible your server is configured to boot into rescue mode. You can view the default kernel entry with the following command on CentOS 7:
    grub2-editenv list
The following document explains how this works, and provides more information on rescue mode:

Great, so the command you sent me outputs saved_entry=CentOS Linux (3.10.0-327.22.2.el7.x86_64) 7 (Core)
I take it that's the right one and the bug will be fixed on cPanel 58? Thanks for all your help.
