Hello, Could you review Effective Forum Threads and provide us with additional information about your system? Also, could you let us know the output from /usr/local/cpanel/logs/login_log and /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log when this happens? Thank you.

Its your ISP be-bopping back & forth between ipv4 & ipv6 mine does it to only-way around it is to set Cookie IP validation to loose or disabled in tweak settings or just try logging in via the IPv4 address only

My isp uses a range, i think a /64 range, therefore the ip changes within that range, as to why it keeps changing i have no idea. its something i need to speak to my isp about, as it should change unless the router reboots crashes, etc. I also have a similar issue with my mobile provider, which seems to change if you move closer to another tower.

Your IP on these forums is a static IPv4 address. I wonder why your cPanel server is seeing your IPv6 address instead of that IPv4 address?

Could you open a support ticket using the link in my signature so we can take a closer look? You can post the ticket number here so we can update this thread with the outcome. Thank you.

Hello, I'm having the exact same problem. But in my case that is the reason: - Removed - It looks like my client's IP is switching between IPv6 and IPv4. Anyone have any idea what could cause this? It does not happen to everyone, but it has happened often among some customers (enough for us to disable this protection). Can be DNS? We use Cloudflare, but we have the IPv6 configured in the AAAA input correctly.

Hello Michael! I already tried to reproduce the issue, but I could not. With my tests using IPv6, everything worked as it should. However, a significant amount of my clients suffer from this issue. It may be some feature on the network of these clients, but I came to the forum to ask for a second opinion.

I've not seen any additional reports of this issue, but I'll leave this thread open to see if anyone else is facing this issue. You may want to see if you can obtain more information about what operating systems, providers, and browsers they are using to see if you notice any commonalities. Thank you.

Hello Michael, I discovered a problem on my secondary DNS server that did not return the updated DNS with IPv6. After fix this, the problem seems to have stopped. Thank you for your help!
