Munin on cPanel 58
There is a bug with munin in 58, if the munin folder is not present in /home/ the installation will fail. At least it did in my case in 58.03.

Hello, Internal case CPANEL-7593 is open to address the issue where reinstalling Munin on cPanel 58 results in a failure message like this: [2016-07-19 19:26:19 +0000] User 'munin' already exists. ( permissions, owner and quota reset ) [2016-07-19 19:26:19 +0000] groupadd: group 'munin' already exists [2016-07-19 19:26:19 +0000] useradd: user 'munin' already exists [2016-07-19 19:26:19 +0000] chmod: cannot access '/home/munin': No such file or directory
The current workaround is to manually remove the Munin user after you have backed up any previous Munin data you wish to preserve:userdel munin
Keep in mind you should only use this command if you have no previous Munin data you want to preserve, or once you have already preserved the data. I'll update this thread with more information on this case once it's available. Thank you.0 -
Hello, To update, this is fixed in cPanel version 60 (tentatively planned for publication to the "Current" build tier in October): Fixed case CPANEL-7593: Update cpanel-perl-522-munin to 2.0.25-6.cp1158. Thank you. 0
