connection refused error while connecting to server

Hello I have very less experience with servers and this is my first time connecting to ssh via my mac terminal. when I enter a command on terminal to connect to ssh, It shows me follwing error ssh: connect to host xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx port 22: Connection refused I read some articles on internet but found no solution. Thanks

  Hello :), Do you have root access of your server ? If yes, then try to restart SSHD services through WHM and allow your IP in server firewall.
