Sending from Google Apps to Office 365 through the same server

Hi everyone, apologies if this is not the right place to ask but I'm really struggling here. I have a dedicated server with domain1.com (my domain) and domain2.com (a client domain) on it. Domain1.com uses Google Apps and has MX and SPF records on it, its nameservers are those from the dedicated server. In the google apps account I have also added the server IP under "Email routing" without changing the SMTP envelope. Domain2.com uses Office 365 and has the nameservers set to ns1.bdm.microsoftonline.com and ns2.bdm.microsoftonline.com with an A record pointing to their website and a CNAME for the www Domain1.com can send emails to any domain apart from Domain2.com. Domain2.com can send emails to Domain1.com. When I try to send an email from Domain1.com to Domain2.com I get the following response: The error that the other server returned was: 550-Please turn on SMTP Authentication in your mail client. 550-mail-oi0-f45.google.com[209.85.218.45]:35298 is not permitted to relay 550 through this server without authentication. What do I need to do to get this running through correctly?

  Hello, Could you elaborate on the cPanel server's role in this email configuration? Are you using a custom Exim rule? Thank you.
