Multibyte support missing!

Can anyone tell me what exactly is Multibyte support and how do I install into my linux server? We have installed Jetpack and iCopyright Toolbar plugins. We like to be able to connect with all our social media platforms from our website and schedule posts. We can and do connect to all our social media of LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest and Google+ (appropriate page), however we cannot connect to Facebook and our appropriate page. any assistance would be great.
