Stop CSF from auto-updating?

How do I stop this? I got an email that csf tried to auto-update.
Upgrading csf from v9.10 to 9.11... Retrieving new csf package...
I have set updating to Never in Server Configuration "Update Preferences in WHM, so why does this even happen??? I would like to stop all auto-updating, all it does it confuse everything and break.

  And I'm trying to fix the closing CODE tag above, and it gives me this garbage "Your content can not be submitted. This is likely because your content is spam-like or contains inappropriate elements. Please change your content or try again later. If you still have problems, please contact an administrator."

  CSF isn't a cPanel product so your question is better asked on their support forums. It shouldn't be updating if set not to. I would only add that auto updating shouldn't be an issue and is my own preference. I've taken care of the code tag issue for you.

  Goto WHM >> Plugins >> ConfigServer Security & Firewall and select [Firewall Configuration] and then set AUTO_UPDATES to "OFF (0)". Then save the new configuration as suggected and afterwards restart CSF/LFD again. I'd advise you to leave it "ON (1)" though.
