Cannot view folders in public_html
Disclaimer: I'm trying to learn cPanel better so please forgive if this is an obvious answer
I'm trying to get together a new FTP account for the web development team so they can access theme files, plugins, etc. for the WordPress account they manage. I created a new account in 'FTP Accounts' in cPanel and was able to login via Filezilla. However, I do not see any folders/files (only one '.ftpquote' file). Why is that? I looked at the cPanel File Manager and when I navigate to the public_html folder I see all of the folders I want to appear, but that doesn't happen in Filezilla.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

The new FTP account can only see whats his. Assuming you're using the new User Manager in cPanel (icon for this on left side of cPanel), you should be able to set the location/path to the users FTP account and set it to your wordpress. 0 -
I got it working! I had to go into Users and edit the home directory since it was defaulting to an empty directory. 0 -

Old is gold. Even years later this helped me out with a client. They have the hosting account and I'm a developer, so this trouble was quite a headache. Got it figured out. Thank you so much.0
