Cannot SSH into VPS
Hello,
I have a lowendspirit VPS and I cannot SSH into it. I can access the VPS through the cPanel emergency session and it works ok. However, if I try from my terminal:
ssh root@ -p 2202 // I used the same ip from the cPanel emergency session
I get prompted for password, however, It does not accept my root password.
I even tried reinstalling the OS on the VPS but this didn't help.

Tried this link w/ the ip of the VPS but it took me to the "Connection failed" + "Try again" page. I still cannot resolve this. I don't think it will be too much of a problem. However, why is the "Serial Console" not recommended as a general way of accessing the VPS ? 0 -
Hello, First, try modifying your SSH configuration to ensure it's accessible. There's a thread here you will find helpful: [Tutorial] Interested in increasing the security of your server? Read this. (sshd hardening) However, if the issue persists, contact your VPS hosting provider and request assistance with accessing the server via SSH, as it seems like a firewall might be filtering access requests if you can't access Web Host Manager. Thank you. 0
