Refusing to start because log directory /usr/local/cpanel/logs is not writable
Is there any way to resolve this issue without reinstallation of server, if server provider already denied to change permission of /usr directory?
i am facing this issue 2nd time and didn't get any solution except reinstalltion.
my error message is:
*** /usr/local/cpanel/etc/init/startup ERROR: ***
Refusing to start because log directory /usr/local/cpanel/logs is not writable!
The specific error was: Read-only file system at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/LogCheck.pm line 29.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A read only file system is not the same thing as permissions on a directory. You can search for read only file system and find lots of info about it. Here's one thread on these forums: cpanel wont start Read-only file system0 -
i already gone through with that post. shall i execute this command? fsck -Cy /dev/sdaX 0 -
No, I wouldn't if I was you. If you're unsure of your next steps, contacting your Hosting Provider or hiring someone to assist you with this is suggested. 0
