Incoming email blocked, how to unblock?

I wonder if anyone could help, please?
I've discovered that something (SpamAssasin?) has blocked emails from coming through to my account. These are emails I want to receive, but how do I unblock them? I tried adding them to the whitelist in Spamassassin but this didn't work.
This is a line from one of the blocked emails, from domain:
I've been researching online but everything I read is about how to block spam, not how to get rid of it. Also, these blocked emails are coming up with a Spam Score of 0. I'm utterly confused by everything I read. Not a technical person at all. Thanks!

Sender verify failed

The clue here is Sender verify failed
Your hosting provider has probably set up the mail server toVerify the existance of email senders
in Exim ( the mail transfer agent ) So check with your hosting provider first.0 -
Hello, I suggest consulting with your web hosting provider for assistance with this issue. They should be able to review /var/log/exim_mainlog to determine the specific reason the message was blocked. Thank you. 0 -
