Since cPanel 58, messages sent from Horde have higher spam score
We've been upgrading several servers one at a time to 58.x After upgrading each server, we start getting reports from users who use Horde webmail that they can't send (some) messages. According to the logs, it's because they are scoring too high in spam assassin and exceeding the score for outbound spam.
The exact same message (sender, subject, body) goes out fine through RoundCube, however.
Something seems to have changed, either in Horde or in spam assassin that is triggering a higher spam score.
Anyone else observe this?

A simple way to test it would be to disable outbound checking for spam temporarily and then use a tool like www.mail-tester.com which will give you the exact reason why spam assassin is marking it. Maybe a signature or logo being appended. 0 -
Hello, CPANEL-8143 is open to address an issue where the default SpamAssassin rules are marking outgoing messages from local Webmail clients such as Roundcube or Horde as SPAM. I'll monitor the case and update this thread with more information as it becomes available. In the meantime, you can temporary adjust the value for "Scan outgoing messages for spam and reject based on defined Apache SpamAssassin" score" in "WHM >> Service Configuration >> Exim Configuration Manager" to a value such as 10. Thank you. 0 -
Hello, To update, this issue has been tested and confirmed to no longer occur as of cPanel version 66. Thank you. 0
