Mutiple passwords working for cPanel account

Hello all, I have changed the cPanel password of an account. Now, I am able to login to the cPanel with both the old password and the new password. However, FTP and SSH gets validated with the new password and refuses the old password. I am not sure how cPanel alone is accepting the old password still. I have checked the /etc/passwd and /etc/shadow file and there is no multiple entries for that user. I have also tried to change the password with all the methods in GUI and CLI but no luck. Help me, please :)

  is your password is using the same as the root or reseller account and "Accounts that can access a cPanel user account:" in tweak settings

  Hello, It's likely you are accessing the cPanel account with the root or reseller password. This will allow you access to cPanel unless you have configured "Accounts that can access a cPanel user account" under the "System" tab in "WHM >> Tweak Settings" to disable that functionality. Thank you.
