Frequency versus cores

I have to choose between 2 model processors, for a high load cpanel server Should I go with more cores, but low frequency - Intel Xeon D-1540 ( OVH HOST-32H) Clockspeed: 2.0 GHz Turbo Speed: 2.6 GHz No of Cores: 8 (2 logical cores per physical), cpubenchmark 10883, 32GB Or less cores, but higher frequency - Intel Xeon E5 E5-1630v3 ( OVH SP-64) Clockspeed: 3.7 GHz Turbo Speed: 3.8 GHz No of Cores: 4 (2 logical cores per physical) cpubenchmark 10297, 64GB To be fair, the server with less cores, has twice ram. So, 2 answers are needed: general frequency vs cores and special for this use case. Thanks!

  Thanks for the tip. On the other hand, it would be nice to here someone's experience with cPanel specific use case ( a lot of shared users)
