Purging of notification history

The history of user_notifications emails sent - is there a retention setting in WHM for this specifically or the timing coincides with log rollover? Or not controlled at all at this time ? Safe to delete manually ?

  looks like it rotates every week or so /var/cpanel/user_notifications/username/history folders should me no larger than few k our largest is 272K so I don know why you would want to clear them manually unless they are extremely large

  The space used is small, but some of those emails date back 1.5 yr. What do I check to verify the rotation schedule for these ? Its not the big long file names causing a problem with deleting is it? /var/cpanel/user_notifications/root/history/1474397087_cPHulk___[colo.ourserverhostname.net]\ ?\ Large\ Number\ of\ Failed\ Login\ Attempts\ from\ 94.100.18.138.eml
