Reinstall VPS

I need to reinstall the OS because I messed up with folder and file permissions. Everything seems to be working properly ( getting some mails from csf ) but for my peace of mind I want to be sure its working properly. What I intend to do is to copy the last backup ( from /backup directory ) and reinstall the OS, reinstall cPanel and migrate the accounts. Will this keep everything of my customers data ( like email accounts, messages or anything else related to them? Thank you.

  Howdy, That'll work but i'm way lazier than that. Use the migration tools to move your configuration and accounts over if both servers will be online at the same time. Thanks!
