What's using all of my RAM?
I have ea question here... We are using Nagios in some VPS and Dedicated. Almost all of then since around a year are consuming around 95% of RAM. Doesn't matter how much RAM they have (from 1 to 16 GB RAM). I have to say that in all but one server things are stable, no issues because of this.
My question is if it has to be with the way Apache 2.4 with Ruid2+DSO works or is it because of InnoDB? I want to know if I need to reduce RAM usage or change the way Nagios monitors as all of them show RAM in critical condition (less than 10% free RAM).

Hello, The following post helps to explain memory usage on Linux: Memory usage apparently higher than expected In addition, this thread is helpful if you are attempting to determine what in-particular is leading to most of the memory usage: Troubleshooting high server loads on Linux servers Thank you. 0 -
Great articles! We now understand that and we are now measuring the free RAM without caches. Much more real. 0
