outlook smtp error code 0x800CCC80

Hi Seniors & CpanelStaff i getting below error msg at all my customer outlook after move to to new cpanel dedicated server error code 0x800CCC80 in Outlook 'None of the authentication methods supported by this client are supported by your server'. Anyone know how to fix it? Thank you very much. Rgds Dsteam

  Hello, Browse to "WHM >> Exim Configuration Manager >> Basic Editor" and review the following option under the "Security" tab: "Require clients to connect with SSL or issue the STARTTLS command before they are allowed to authenticate with the server." Disabling this option will significantly decrease the security of the server by allowing the plaintext transmission of authentication credentials, however it should allow your users to connect. Thank you.

  Thanks for your reply Michael, after disabling the option it WORKS without using SSL port. ^^ What is your advise should i disable the option or ask my customer use the port with SSL? You are so helpful ;D

  It's a good idea to advise your customers to use SSL, if possible. The transmission of plaintext authentication details is considered a security risk. Thank you.
