Cant receive email: 550-The mail server could not deliver mail to user@hostname

Hi, I'm trying to configure email on cPanel server but I'm not able to receive email. I cant send and receive mails locally that is I can send an email myself and receive it but if I try to send an email from external email address I get an error: The error that the other server returned was: 550-The mail server could not deliver mail to username@hostname. The account 550-or domain may not exist, they may be blacklisted, or missing the proper dns 550 entries. I feel like the problem is that it doesn't deliver an email to a username@domain.com instead username@hostname. Is there anything that Im missing in configuration ?
