Mail delivery fails: recipient not co-operative
We are trying to send emails to ebidding@example.com[/EMAIL] but the mail gets bounced with the following error.
Checking with MXTOOLBOX, we find that they are on a blacklist and the PTR record is also missing for their domain name. On following up, we find that the IT manager is not co-operative and hides behind the fact that they are getting emails from other senders. Sending emails to them and receiving from them (they are a government agency) is vital for us. Is there a way we can bypass all checks for their server so that we can send emails and receive their emails? Thanks for the help!

Hello, It's possible the remote mail server is blocking messages from your server. Could you search for an affected message in /var/log/exim_mainlog and let us know the output? EX: exigrep ebidding@example.com /var/log/exim_mainlog

Thanks. The MX record of the recipient server was incorrect (IP in MX). We had to bypass by adding a setting in Exim Advanced settings. The problem is resolved now. 0 -
