domain email not working

Hi cpanel! my domain email isn't working it is I set the forwarder to my clients gmail account so that he could receive emails that was sent to his domain email but when I tried sending an email to his domain email. It did not receive any. Plus I tried sending an email from the domain email it says error connecting to server.

  I also want to set it up to his outlook but how would I do that if the domain email isn't functioning. Help please! Thank you! I've tried setting this up for months now

  Hello, Your access level is listed as "Website Owner". Could you report the issue to your web hosting provider so they can review /var/log/exim_mainlog to determine what's happening to the message? Thank you.
