The domain is a subdomain and Apache configuration has been modified so that the document root is at /home/domain/social.domain.com/social/html/.

Hello, Could you let us know the permission and ownership values on this directory, and each of it's parent directories? Thank you.

The folder for the subdomain is in the home directory for the primary domain. The permissions for the folder are drwxr-xr-x and the owner is the domain user. The permission for the html folder is drwxr-xr-x and the owner is root. Thanks, Steve

Have you set ownership on this directory to "root" on purpose? Generally, the directories hosting website content should have ownership set to the account username. Thank you.

I changed to domain:domain for ownership. When I run the autoSSL I get: 10:39:07 PM WARN The domain "social.domain.com" has failed domain control validation (The system failed to create the temporary file "/home/social/social.social.com/social/html/6851.BIN_AUTOSSL_CHECK_PL__.tmp.sJrepzRB_5pFEWZg" because of an error: Permission denied). at bin/autossl_check.pl line 449. There are lots folders but the root is set form drwxr-xr-x Thanks, Steve

It's likely additional ownership/permission issues on those directories are causing this issue. Could you open a support ticket using the link in my signature so we can take a closer look? You can post the ticket number here so we can update this thread with the outcome. Thank you.
