Let's Encrypt 's "install SMTPs/POPs SSL" ?

Hello Let's Encrypt + AutoSSL, there is a option on end user 's cpanel showing "install mail SMTPS/POPS/IMAPS SSL for domain xxx.com" https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/issue-certificate.png
does this really work? I did a search and found here SSL certificate per domain on cpanel, webmail, dav, caldav, and whm services (SNI). saying NOT, but if so what is that for? thanks
